Bad Weather Conditions & Cancellations
High Winds Cancellation Notice
Safety is our most important concern for all passengers and the crew of our vessels at all times. Unfortunately, we experience bad weather throughout the year that can impact our trips. While we cannot control the weather, it is important to remember that mother nature is a powerful force that deserves our respect and caution. For this reason, we do not recommend going fishing if waves are predicted to be above 2.5 to 3 feet and continuing to build, or if winds are expected to blow over 15 mph. Rough conditions not only create an unsafe environment but can also make the experience unpleasant for everyone on board. Your safety and comfort remain our top priorities in all situations.
Rain Or Shine Policy
Our Captains reserve the right to cancel a trip at ANY TIME if weather conditions become unfavorable or if safety concerns arise. We always begin each trip with the full intention of completing the entire duration of the charter as booked. In the event that thunderstorms, heavy rains, or other severe weather develop, we will make every effort to avoid them and keep you safe. However, sometimes it is simply not possible to bypass these conditions. In those cases, our experienced captains will make the decision to end the trip early and return everyone to the dock as quickly and safely as possible to ensure the well-being of all guests on board.
Sea Sickness Cancellation Rules
Sometimes people get sea sick and we understand. Sea sickness is very unpleasant for the sea sick feeling person. Although its not very common to get sea sick but when it happens the clients needs to decide when to call the trip and head back to the dock. The person booking the charter is responsible for everyone in the fishing party. We will try to provide basic comfort measures for the sea sick person.
Our captains will fish the entirety of the trip booked if everyone in the booking party is okay with staying out. Our captains don’t plan on stopping for clients that get sea sick unless the party decides to head back to the dock.
If we end a trip early due to sea sickness you will be charged a minimum of $800.00 or equivalent to a 4 hour trip. If we are on a inshore fishing charter you will be charged a standard 4 hour fishing charter including the per person rate at a minimum of $475.00. If we are out longer than 4 hours you will be charged by the time we left the dock and got back to the dock like a standard hourly rate charter.
We are not doctors and are not giving medical advice for the statement below.
“Motion sickness pills are available over the counter and by a physician. People that are prone to motion sickness should possibly look into such products before taking part on a deep sea fishing charter. Please talk to your local doctor before taking any motion sickness pills”.
